Bushwick, Brooklyn. You know what they say "it's an up and coming neighborhood". I've heard that 1000 times while living in New York. Bushwick is one of those neighborhoods. Linden Street starts at Broadway and is the border between Bed-Stuy and Bushwick.

Subway
As glamorous as NYC pretends to be. Many, many that live here know that is not always the case. The other night, as I was patiently waiting for the subway the other side of the platform looked so desolate and lonely. It was an unused side of the platform with enough grit and grim to last a lifetime.

Manhattan Beach
Manhattan Beach! Where is that you ask? Yes, I had to do a quick google search to find it was parallel with Coney Island and Brighton Beach. I'm always a little reluctant to check out different beaches around New York City...they tend to have a bad rap.
BUT! My awesome friend Adi (check out her fashion site!) invited me to her week-end BBQ and I just had to be there. So I invited some of my friends who invited some of their friends and it was a party. We ate, we swam (i'm like a fish, seriously, i feel i'm 9 years old again when i'm in the ocean), we hung out and soaked up the sun.
Whoa, what a serious good time. We even played a few rounds of "chicken" in the ocean. Do you know what that is? Google it, because it's fun.
Have a good day & enjoy these photos of these beautiful people.

Going Gaga
It was my little pookie bear Miranda's 14th birthday last friday. We went to dinner and saw Lady GAGA perform at Madison Square Garden to celebrate.
Please NOTE:
1) I should probably stop calling her "my pookie bear panda"
2) Lady GAGA is effing amazing. Like it was seriously one of the best concerts I've been too. It was a show, it was a performance, it was fantastic!
3) She's not only ridiculously fabulous but she embraces the "it's ok if your different" words of wisdom to her many many followers. It's nice.
Check out BROADWAYVOGUE for some GAGA fashion that I ran into!
merci.

Bastille Day
If you guys don't know me by now, there is one thing you should know. I have a slight obsession with anything French. So when Bastille Day rolled around, I was there. OH I was there and as I joked on twitter and facebook, I was "on the prowl for a french husband". Half joking, I spent the day with some cool people. No husband. Just fun friends, lots of NYC street fairs, street food, and TONS of people watch.
So if you mix french stuff, friends & people watching...you can guess Bastille Day on 60th street between 5th and Lex was a success.

Fire Island - Watch Hill
Fire Island. I love this island. Don't let the misconception fool you.
I hung out in the "Watch Hill" community of Fire Island last week and had a wonderful day swimming like a fish, soaking up the sun, and spending time with friends and family.

Rooftops in NYC
I spent July 4th with some fam and friends. My lovely friend Devin invited us to her rooftop on 9th street. We had a picnic on the roof! Luckily we had a DJ blasting a 90's hiphop mix the building next to us. {Thank you jesus}.
Happy Bday America. Rock on.
