I had a movie date planned with mon amie friday night, but it turns out, Precious was playing in only one near by theatre and was sold out for the times that convenienced us.
We walked to the 2ND avenue theatre, and harassed the nice teller at the window on what movie we should see.
Randomly a man walked up to us and handed us a movie flyer, trying to persuade us to check out a movie called "FIX".
We were curious on why he was promoting this film with such persistence.
"Wow, your really going hard for this movie, Why?" -Jolie Jamie
"I am the director of the film"- Tao Ruspoli
Hmm, that about did it for us, I figured....Why not?
So we purchased two tickets for the 7:50pm showing of "Fix" at the Village East Cinema on 12street and 2ND ave.
I won't give you my less than professional review, but it was a really cool movie, with visual stimulation not only being the artistic work of Tao Ruspoli (aforementioned director) but the charming yet heart wrenching "Leo" played by Shawn Andrews. Not to mention Ruspoli's real life wife Oliva Wilde from "House".
We were lucky enough to sit in on a Q & A after the movie with Tao Ruspoli and Shawn Andrews and found Shawn Andrew's on screen charm worked off screen as well. Delishhh.
